A graduate of the Legal Linguistics postgraduate program is a specialist who combines interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of linguistics and law. They possess competencies that enable the analysis, interpretation and creation of legal and law-related texts, taking into account their linguistic, pragmatic and cultural structure. The graduate demonstates advanced continental and common law systems.

Graduates are able to:

• analyze and translate legal and law-related texts using applied linguistics tools
• identify and solve problems arising from linguistic ambiguity in legal contexts
• draft precise and comprehensible legal documents in both Polish and English
• collaborate effectively with lawyers, sworn translators, legislative drafters and legal communication specialists
• apply plain language principles in legislative and administrative practises

• translation agencies and international organizations
• publishing houses and media outlets specializing in legal topics
• compliance, legal support and corporate communication departments in the privace sector
